Averie is a 2018 graduate of Rice Lake High School, where his passion for athletics and leadership began to take shape. He went on to play football at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he served as a team captain and experienced a life-changing encounter with Christ through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It was through FCA at Southern Miss that Averie became a follower of Christ—an experience that continues to shape his life today. Averie now lives in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, with his wife Autumn and their dog, Teddy. He enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and taking walks along the Eau Claire River with Autumn and Teddy. He’s honored to share his story and the transformational work Christ has done in his life through FCA.
